Can't get online using wifi, only using LAN cable

Hi, I've just bought the ds708, but have found that I can't connect to the Internet using wifi. The problem seems to be that the software can't get an IP address using wifi, see photo. The Ds708 works fine using LAN so I don't think its a hardware problem. Anybody got any suggestions?Phil(UK)file: image.jpg -

1. do not post the same issue 3 times.
2. Ensure your WiFi runs with 54mbts (G standard) as the DS708 does not support the N standard which is common today.

Hi, my wifi runs with b\g\n, it seems to have a problem getting a IP address. Any other suggestions?I notice quite a few people on here having similar problems.Phil -

Hi Philc,
first make sure you don't run MAC filtering. If yes either turn it off or enter your MaxiDas DS708 MAC address in your routers safe list.
Second if you still use an old 64 key hex WiFi password change it to a regular password 63 keys or less!
And third don't click on the little icon in the top right. That will turn on the VNC (which disconnected my system), instead go to setup, wlan, and connect it though there.
